Non-tilting pallet changers or Toppy four finger will work with EPAL pallets (800 x 1200 mm) or industrial pallets (1000 x 1200 mm). The pallets used for this system are required to meet all EC rules and regulations.

The palletized load is placed onto the lift platform from the side, either through a conveyor system or forklift. Once the pallet is placed onto the platform, four forks (fingers) are inserted automatically through the open slots of the pallet under the material load. Two rubber side plates gently close to help stabilize the load and reduce the weight that the forks need to support. The pressure of the plates adjusts automatically and does not damage the load. The pallet is lowered, allowing the forks and plates to support the load. Either using a forklift or a conveyor system, the pallet is removed and replaced. The new pallet on the lift platform is then introduced under the load and the forks are removed.

The pusher system for pallet changing and handling

The Master Inverter pallet changer is presented by Toppy. With two-way translational movement, the shifting of products is enabled from coarse wood pallets to production-friendly, sterilized plastic pallets. To support the load on two sides, two rubber side compactors close and then sustain the load. These plates apply gentle pressure to the material together with a metal back plate, and shift the load onto the new pallet.

Toppy Master Inverter pallet changer is available with either manual control (by push button panel) or full automatic control (by PLC). For optimum environment operation, there is a de-dusting cabin where the product gets in. It is flooded by an air shower equipped with three rotating blades. Two blades are inside and one in center. Efficient stationary solution for the inversion of loads and change pallets

The Floor Level Inverter from Toppy is a stationary pallet inverter that turns loads and exchange pallets on loads of maximum weight of 1500 kg and maximum height of 2200 mm.

The turning of the pallet is accomplished with: 90° rotation for steady loads (i.e. boxes) and 180° rotation for unsteady and (not) fragile loads (i.e. cruets and bottles).

The pallet inverter allows the transfer of a product to pallet or slip sheet, damaged pallet exchange and damaged carton replacement. It also enables damaged product recovery from the bottom of stack.

Fully automatic and quick stationary pallet changer

Toppy V-shape is a stationary pallet exchanger built with a unique, strong V shape frame. It is manufactured in painted steel, and with a full stainless steel model also available. All moving parts are operated by hydraulic and electrical systems. The pallet to be replaced is loaded onto a lower platform at floor level by either an electric pallet jack or forklift.

At the start of cycle, a pallet latch secures the pallet to the platform and the upper compactor plate moves down until a sensor detects the top of the load. In this position the plate provides a gentle support to the load. The load, secured by the V-shape frame, is then lifted and rotated backwards. When the load is in the tilted position, the lower platform moves back to the floor and the pallet is released. The operator can quickly and easily replace the pallet at floor level. With the new pallet, the load is returned to floor level and removed.

The Toppy Inverter is a stationary pallet inverter that will turn loads and exchange pallets on loads with maximum weight of 1500 kg and maximum height of 2000 mm. The pallets are loaded and unloaded using a forklift.

The pallet turning is accomplished with: 90° rotation without pressure, for steady loads (i.e. boxes); 180° rotation without pressure, for unsteady and fragile loads (i.e. cruets and bottles); 180° rotation with pressure, for unsteady but not fragile loads (i.e. bags, larger size bags and drums).

Toppy inverter is also available with a PLC control (fully automatic), and as a floor level version that can be loaded and unloaded using an electric pallet jack. The stationary pallet changer is mainly used in industries where some products, i.e. liquids, cannot be inverted as this would cause problems with validation or, in industries, where goods are packed in fragile packaging materials.
